Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing relationships with distributors and end customers in North America, specifically in the mining and industrial sectors. This role will develop and implement strategic sales plans, provide technical support, and ensure the successful installation and use of Golan's PE-Xa pipeline solutions in key projects. The position requires strong technical expertise, customer focus, and leadership in managing complex pipeline projects, ensuring alignment with Golan's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:
  • Manage, develop, and strengthen relationships with distributors and customers across North America, particularly in the mining and industrial markets.
  • Formulate and execute strategic sales plans for medium and large-scale pipeline projects, identifying new opportunities within defined regions.
  • Collaborate with key engineering companies, EPC contractors, and major mining operators to drive product adoption and close deals.
  • Ensure achievement of annual sales targets and profitability objectives.
  1. Technical and Engineering Support:
  • Provide ongoing technical support to distributors and customers, addressing engineering challenges and presenting technical data related to Golan’s piping solutions, including for high-pressure, abrasive, and chemically resistant applications.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for distributor teams and end users, ensuring proper understanding of Golan’s PE-Xa pipe systems' unique features and advantages.
  • Liaise with internal Golan teams (engineering, operations, procurement) to manage project quotations, risk assessments, and product customization, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  1. Field Installations and On-Site Support:
  • Oversee and provide on-site support during product installations, ensuring adherence to Golan’s high standards for safety, performance, and durability.
  • Deliver hands-on technical training to field teams and contractors, ensuring proper installation and maintenance practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site technical issues, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  1. Product Promotion and Market Penetration:
  • Act as the technical representative and product expert for Golan’s piping solutions, including mining tailings, industrial slurry transport, and chemical-resistant pipelines.
  • Work closely with engineering firms and mining corporations to demonstrate how Golan’s PE-Xa systems reduce OPEX and CAPEX costs through enhanced durability, corrosion resistance, and reduced installation time.
  • Represent Golan at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to promote the company's innovative solutions and build brand awareness.
  1. Project Management and Coordination:
  • Coordinate and manage multiple large-scale pipeline projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders while ensuring project risks are mitigated and objectives are met.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Water, Civil, Mechanical, Oil & Gas, Mining) or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales or technical support within the mining or industrial sector in North America.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale pipeline or industrial projects, preferably with knowledge of PE-Xa piping systems.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline engineering, including knowledge of chemical and abrasion-resistant materials, slurries, and high-pressure applications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering software is preferred.
  • Fluency in English (native or near-native); Spanish proficiency is a plus.
